  Letter From My Elder Uncle

  ok guys, this is long, so i am sorry, but i think it is important to publish.

  this is a glimpse into a 4 page letter (love that song) from my uber elder uncle.

  as some of you may know i got tired of being in an email chain and finally lost it and lashed out.

  Happiness - Evidence of God's blessing?

  people from dissimilar groups appear equally as happy.. is happiness a sign of spiritual blessings or rather minds manipulated by people or organizations?.

  Personally, i was happy when i was blinded to TTATT. Life was good. I was happy thinking i Knew all the answers to all life's big questions.

  Now I am awake to TTATT, i am still happy. I am happy knowing i had the mental capacity to wake myself up from this weird cult. And i'm happy knowing the world isn't such a bad place and i can achieve whatever i put my mind and effort to.

  The phrase "JWs are the happiest people on earth" is a bit pathetic really. People are either prone to happiness, or are prone to sadness. EACH INDIVIDUAL makes that choice themselves.

  I have met an equal amount of miserable JWs and happy JWs. Both Positive and negative.

  I have known a few people before becoming JWs (when they were studying) and they were pretty miserable. After they got baptized they were still miserable. Basically, they are prone to negative feelings, and a sad, negative outlook.

  Same has worked the other way.

  It is the same with any en-devour in life, not just religion. Employment, education, wife/husband.

  If you are single and have married friends, . . .

  is your sense of loneliness (if you are lonely) heightened when you see what they share?

  how do cope (if you are coping) with a sense of isolation, of not having a significant other?.

  i know some single persons who are very happy as they are.

  A good 90% of my married JW friends, i would say, look unhappy. A lot got married young, and seem to moan about not getting "any action", or that the wife is being a bitch.....A lot recommend not getting married. An alarming number argue in public as well.

  When i see what they share, i'm pretty happy being single and independent. 

  I have a few married non JW friends, most look happy. I'm guessing it's because if they weren't happy they would split up? Or maybe because they both have good careers..Go Figure.

  The non JW married life seems a bit more My Thing.

  I think that you are in the best situation if your in a good, happy state, and you decide to get married.

  Do i get lonely? Yes, sometimes desperately lonely. But, it doesn't mean i'm sad. I'm quite a happy guy. The two, in my mind, do not go hand in hand. Loneliness doesn't = Sad. That is a Hollywood invention.

  I've already made up my mind not to marry a JW girl, doesn't matter how nice they are. That's inviting WAY too much drama into my life knowing what i know about "the truth". I'll marry once i'm "out". And if i don't, well, it's better to have a life time of loneliness, than a lifetime of unhappiness, sadness & frustration.

  How do i cope with any loneliness now? I like to have a few hobby's, and having a long term plan/goal on the back burner really helps.

  Religion is dying a slow death!!!

  religion has run its course, it was used as a way to control growing populations and to give the human race a sense of direction almost like training wheels.

  religion has gone on a path of no return... that includes the only true religion of jw's!!!

  I would say Christianity may be dying in western countries, but other non christian religions in other countries are alive and kicking.

  Are we heading for III World War?

  the leaders of russia, germany, france and ukraine are slated to meet in minsk (the belarusian capital) tomorrow to discuss a ukrainian peace plan!

  some countries such as hollande believe there is going to be a total war.

  when they met last year in the same place, they had put forward a peace plan (a ceasefire, withdrawal of artillery, prisoner exchanges and other concessions) that were never fully implemented!

  I believe the leaders in all countries believe that there is an out of control population growth on the planet.

  People are also living longer in western societies.

  To alleviate the problem, have a massive world war. cut down numbers from 7 Billion to 1 Billion.

  I think it's highly plausible.

  if we are to look at matthew 1:17, looks like there were 42 generations from abraham to jesus.. if we take 1948 bce (abraham's birth) and we take it to jesus baptisim (29 ce) we get to 1,977 years.. so lets divide 1977 years by 42 (the amount of generations), we get to around 47 years for one generation.. 1 generation = 47 years.. 1 generation + an overlapping generation (1 generation more) = 94 years.. this is all in the first chapter of the new testament..... comments welcome.....

  I'm sorry, but when did people care about overcrowding?

  Growing up, it was usually a good thing when there wasn't any seats left at the meeting, and some had to stand. It was more bragging rights for that particular cong, and in a weird way everyone felt "upbuilt"....

  I honestly don't know what to make of it all. KH construction in the western world should be a non issue.

  Why would the rank and file complain about overcrowding when, probably 90% (estimate), live in boxy accommodation due to the WT policies of no college education etc. Doesn't make any sense.

  Why are the WT being so hostile and bullish with their approach, and pretty much ordering elders not to say ANYTHING negative.

  It is obviously about money, but why?

  GB do not directly benefit in a monetary way. FACT. Although they DO live a cushy lifestyle, you can not quantify it by money. It is not theirs.

  People say lawyers and PR people benefit. Yes, they probably do, but they will be on a WAGE, like they would be earning working for any other cooperate company.

  Wheres all the money going? What are they going to do with old buildings? What is the point of it all?

  So many questions that only people at the very top would know.

  It's about time for another high level defector, it's can only be a matter of time.
